Cooking Class Policies
The Basics
Magdalena's Kitchen cannot provide a venue for cooking classes—they will take place in your kitchen! Feel free to invite up to 8 people, but make sure they'll all have room to gather comfortably. We will provide all the necessary food and equipment, but please note that we will need a clean and safe environment to work in, so give your counters a wipedown and your floor a good sweep before we arrive. The host is also expected to provide cleaning supplies (dish soap, cleaning spray or wipes, etc.) so Chef Magdalena can handle the cleanup!

Please disclose all allergies for anyone in your group. If you need any allergies or dietary restrictions accommodated, just let us know! We are super flexible and happy to adapt the menu to suit your needs. (Just note that there might be an extra fee if ingredients get very expensive—for example, gluten-free items can cost much more than their gluteny equivalent.)

Please secure your pets and young children elsewhere. (Children 8 and up are welcome to be in the kitchen—or participate in the class as a guest—with supervision.)

Each class will take about two hours, not including cleanup. Right now, classes are offered in the evenings (7-9pm), any day except Tuesdays and Sundays.
Pricing
Classes are priced per head. You will pay a deposit (the price of one customer) on booking, and the rest on the day of the class. We accept Venmo or check.

Knife Skills - $65/person
Balancing Flavors - $85/person
Farmer's Market - $85/person

If you'd like, Chef Magdalena can bring a recommended wine to pair with the food. This service costs $50/bottle.
Covid Safety
If you are immunocompromised or disabled and need to be extra cautious with your health, just let us know. We're happy to wear a mask in your house, and if you have an outdoor space, we can step outside for tasting and eating. Chef Magdalena is also happy to take a rapid test before coming to your home on request. We'll do whatever we can to make you comfortable, within reason.

If you or any of your guests is sick, please contact us to reschedule the class.
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel a class (or reduce the number of guests) 48 hours or more in advance with no penalty (except forfeiting the deposit). If you cancel within 48 hours, you will be charged a fee of 50% total class price as booked. If you reduce the number of guests within 48 hours of the class, you will be charged 50% of the price per guest. This is because, by that time, we have likely already bought food for the number of people you booked. Thank you for your understanding.
